We get asked so many times
to do more ‘60’s’ groups albums, that it’s almost become a fanatical
objective here at Simply Vinyl towers. Here is an archetypical 60’s group
which included such names as Eric Burdon, Alan Price and Chas Chandler
among other others. We are, of course, talking about The Animals and this
excellent collection of all their singles, aptly named “The Singles Plus”.
This one album contains such gems as their debut single “Baby Let Me Take
You Home” (No.21 UK, No.57 US ’64), the all-time classic “House Of The
Rising Sun” (No.1 UK, No.1 US ’64), “I’m Crying” (No.8 UK, No.19 US ’64),
the brilliant “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” (No.3 UK, No.15 US ’65), the
soulful “Bring It On Home To Me” (No.7 UK, No.32 US ’65), the Vietnam
inspired “We’ve Gotta Get Out Of This Place” (No.2 UK, No.13 US ’65) and
“It’s My Life” (No.7 UK, No.23 US ’65). All of which makes for a pretty
impressive 2 year burst! As far as we know, no equivalent collection like
this appears on vinyl, so this is the first chance to get this real slice
of 60’s history on vinyl – let alone 180 gram virgin vinyl! Add to the
collection immediately!
